Corporate Writing
Organisations produce a lot of written material. Much of it isn’t very good - long, unclear and full of jargon. Clear writing denotes clear thinking. Fuzzy writing, the opposite. Fuzzy thinking also often hides unresolved issues.
At best this can be a waste of everyone’s time - the writer’s as much as the reader’s. But it can be worse than that. If things aren’t well written they not only fail to communicate what someone wants to get across, but they can mislead or give the wrong impression. This is obviously a problem in public facing writing, such as websites, but it is also important with internal policies and strategies. Expressing things clearly and concisely saves everyone time and helps to get the job done.
